Bio – Kevin Williams
AI left school at 16 and joined the British Merchant Navy as an Engineer Cadet. After 4 years training both at college and at sea, I qualified as an Engineer Officer and spent a further 4 years at sea. I qualified in both ‘old fashioned’ steam powered ships and also modern diesels. This background have given me a good background for welding, brazing, fabricating as well as a good mechanical and electrical understanding. Since leaving the navy my career has been spent fixing computer hardware and software, and then in computer and software sales.
In my twenties, I raced a PRS RH02 FF1600 in Classic Formula Ford. After 4 years I decided to put this hobby to one side to pursue a business career. Racing and in particular Formula Ford always remained a passion and in 2016, I purchased a Russell Alexis Mk14 which once belonged to James Hunt. A chance reading of an advert on Race Cars Direct lead me to this purchase. I don’t know where its going to lead, but I estimate there are 350+ of these cars out there that need a reliable source of quality components for these cars. I look forward to hearing from you!
